Aros Bostad acquires another residential project within Fabriksparken in Sundbyberg

Aros Bostadsutveckling AB publ (”Aros Bostad”) has acquired the property Blåslampan 1 in Sundbyberg from Skandia Fastigheter. The acquisition comprises building rights for ca 180 new tenant ownerships apartments, which corresponds to the final phase with residential apartments within Fabriksparken.

Magnus Andersson, CEO Aros Bostad says:
”Fabriksparken is a very nice residential area, with an exceptionally good location in central Sundbyberg. Skandia Fastigheter has unlocked the potential of the place, and we are glad for the opportunity to acquire and develop another phase within the area. We believe that the project will be put on the market at a good timing, considering that the construction of residential apartments in the Stockholm area has dropped sharply during the past year.”

The acquisition comprises building rights for ca 15,000 sqm gross area. The residental development project will comprise ca 180 apartments, split on four 6-16 floor buildings with a common garden and underground garage. The buildings will, such as other residential buildings in the area, be built with brick facades to mirror the industrial character of the surrounding historical buildings.

”It is great that there will be more residential apartments in the area. It will contribute to even more commotion, movement, interaction and safety – just what we are aiming for. It feels safe to hand over the building rights to a solid residential developer that we know very well, not the least since we have been developing the same areas here in Fabriksparken and Rosendal in Uppsala. It serves as a guarantee for our ambitious vision for Fabriksparken to be carried out going forward.”

Handover is planned for the first quarter 2024 and production start later during the spring, given that the building permit has gained legal force. Aros Bostad is already developing two phases of totally 191 apartments within the area, of which the first is sold out and only a few apartments left unsold for the second phase. All phases which are developed by Aros Bostad in the area are built to be certified with the Nordic Swan label.
